Why is it better to go with a local web designer?
Many reasons. First and foremost among them is that your needs get the attention they deserve. You can actually meet
with the person who creates your web site. There is no better way to express what you'd like to see, and share ideas
about your project. A further reason is that you will get a faster turn-around on your project, as typically local
web design companies are run by people, not large companies.
How much will it cost?
See the Services and Additional Services
page for cost information. If there is something you'd like that isn't mentioned,
please visit the Contact page
and call or email for information.
How long will it take?
This depends entirely on your needs, as well as what other projects we are currently working on. Another large factor
is how ready you are. Is your site content prepared? Have you written up the business description, employee bios, product
information, and so on that you would like on your site? Have you taken all the pictures you'd like to be posted on the
site (it's OK if these are rough and need some work/editing)? Assuming these things to be true: To give an estimate
based on the standard Services we offer: the Single Page Site will be finished typically
in two to three weeks. The Standard Site would be completed typically in four weeks, but may go as long as six weeks.
The extended site will depend entirely upon what your requirements are.
Who owns my web site?
You do. Once the design and construction is complete, you will be given everything that was created for your site. This
includes HTML source code, CSS (style) files, JavaScript files, image templates, etc. You may view, edit, or do whatever
else it is you wish with the supplied files. Your domain will be in your own name or the name of your business, as will
your hosting package.
Who will maintain my web site?
If you require future updates or maintenance, we will be happy to assist with those changes. Anything from additional
pages, or changes to current content can be arranged. If for whatever reason you'd like to take it to someone else for
maintenance, that is your option. If you're brave, or have since gained some technical skills, you may
even opt to maintain it yourself.
Do you have a preference for the format that I supply my site's content?
Only that any supplied text content be in electronic format.
We prefer to receive photographs in electronic format as well, but can scan
paper photos if necessary. As far as the specific electronic formats, we can work with most anything.
I already have a website, and I need it updated. Can you help me?
Absolutely. Please contact us with what you need, and we can get you an idea of what it will cost.
